Some things you should have or know
Time - to set up for the Press Printer/Graphic Artist, Time for Mailing House, Time for Post office
More Time (invariably something goes wrong) Start at least 1 1/2 month early.
Mailing List - if you don't have a mailing list, check with directlist.com (I don't deal in Mailing list due to confidentiality with current customers and their proprietary list. = Conflict of interest )
200 or more addresses to mail to.
Standard Mail Permit (yours or the mailing houses) Have Press Printer print Permit info directly onto the mail piece in the right hand corner.
Mailing piece designed in accordance with Postal rules to get the cheapest postage and/or mailing house rates. Call us, we will give you the info that can help you cut cost. If doing yourself, always take a draft into the Post office to get a final approval before printing. There is nothing worse than taking many pieces of mail to post office and having it refused because the address is in the wrong place.
Mailing Service / House lined up
If doing yourself, have Postal Trays, Sleeves, strapping. Post office requires that mail is now to be trayed, sleeved and strapped. (Use our mailing service, this is all included)
Postage - if you need to work out a Purchase Order in advance for Postage, call me, I can give you estimates on what different types of mailings cost in Postage. (just to clarify, there are 2 costs involved 1 is for Postage and that is paid directly to US Post Office and 2nd is fees to your mailing service)
